In Street Fighter X Tekken, the move was renamed "Fisherman's Hook" for unknown reasons.Since the move's introduction, Bryan will laugh maniacally while performing the animation. While it is an independent move in the US and EU version with a name of its own, set apart from Right Upper, this is apparently not the case in the Japanese version. It is worth noting that the Fisherman's Slam will switch the screen position of the user and the opponent, so the player might want to use this to their advantage when backed against a wall. Though the Fisherman's Slam is of no use during combos, it is an excellent combo starter because of its Bounce Juggle properties. When using its qcf (quarter circle forward) input, it is a good way to close distance between the player and their opponent (and, with good timing, it will also duck under high attacks). While it initially didnt give any guaranteed follow-up, this was changed in Tekken 4, where it gave a significant amount of frame advantage and was made unblockable. Everyones favourite deranged zombie cyborg was confirmed for Tekken 8s character roster at this years Combo Breaker fighting. In its debut, the taunt, like Greetings, has a hitbox and is cancellable. Bryan Fury is coming to Tekken 8, Bandai Namco has revealed. When executed with the while rising option, it is an excellent punisher for ducked high attacks. Taunt is a move used by Bryan Fury since his debut in Tekken 3. Fisherman's Slam has long been a staple in Bryan's moveset.
